Darker is not stronger

Did you know that it is a misconception to think that Darker roast is stronger than a light roast?  In reality, Darker roast beans are cooked longer and they lose all of the oils and they loose that great thing that makes coffee taste good.    A few notes to keep in mind. By volume, there's more caffeine in light roast coffee than in dark roast coffee. This is because dark roast coffee beans have been roasted for longer and often become over roasted or even burnt. When coffee beans are burnt they lose attributes like flavor and caffeine content.
